Hypnosis

How it Works

Change your mind and change your life.

A brief interview with Michael J Murschel, MA, CH, SD, Well-being Practitioner:

“Actually, I dislike the word ‘change’. It implies too much uncertainty and effort. ‘Positive transformation’ is a far better phrase. It means that things just get better.

Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful means for instilling lasting transformation in most people. Think of your mind as the operating system of a computer. Hypnosis merely alters that system, that program, to run with a different set of actions. Often, you don’t even realize those transformations are working because they do so in the background. They happen automatically, in the background, naturally, normally, and comfortably.

I practice a highly effective form of transpersonal hypnosis, one which blends hypnosis into deep spirituality, that area of life we all encounter and in which we find that ultimate element in which we put our full confidence and trust.

And you are always in control of the process from start to finish. I always go over everything we will do in hypnosis with you ahead of time. I take the time to get to know you. The words you use. Your patterns of speech. What you like and don’t like. Your background. Your goals. Your needs.

Then, together, we map out a plan of action for each and every hypnosis session. I always keep my sessions with you positive and affirming. You are always in control. I practice a highly clinical form of hypnosis and never engage in anything even resembling stage or performance hypnosis. For me, the art and practice of hypnosis has only one function: getting you to where and who you want and need to be in the most secure and effective way.

Many of the issues I work with can be effectively handled in a few sessions. Some, like image management, take longer simply because of keeping you within healthy bounds for weight loss. In fact, even if you are already in a weight program, hypnosis can help you establish a mindset for success, and one that will continue long after your other program is completed, allowing you to continue with all of the information you used in that.

Some of the issues I work with include:
• Empowerment
• Grief

• Chronic Pain and Illness
• Stress Reduction
• Relaxation
• Peak Performance
• Memory Improvement
• Disarming Self-Sabotage
• Self-Image
• Dental Issues
• Sports
• Pre- and Post-Surgery
• Spirituality
• and many more . . .

Several of these relate directly to employee wellness programs and can be offered in office settings.
